Lycian Way Hiking Tour from Antalya

We meet at Antalya Airport. For those arriving a day earlier, hotel accommodation in Antalya is available. Then, we transfer to Göynük Canyon, the starting point of the Lycian Way. Depending on your arrival time, we will hike 5 km inside the canyon. Dinner and overnight stay in Göynük.

After breakfast, we start our hike through breathtaking canyon views. The morning hike features the melodies of birds, pine trees, and sandalwood trees with the backdrop of the Taurus Mountains. We then descend to the Göynük River, where we take a lunch and swimming break. In the afternoon, we hike uphill for two more hours before meeting our transfer van, which takes us to our hotel in Ovacık. Dinner and overnight stay in Ovacık-Kemer.

After a short 10-minute transfer, we resume our trek with stunning views of green plateaus and Mount Olympos. We ascend around 1000 meters, passing through areas where locals and nomads reside during the summer. Upon reaching Gedelme village, we visit the Roman castle before continuing to Yayla Kuzdere village. Dinner and overnight stay in bungalows in Kuzdere.

Today’s trek takes us along the slopes of Mount Tahtalı. The route immerses us in untouched nature, pastures, and thyme-covered landscapes. We arrive at Çukur Yayla, a seasonal retreat for nomadic locals. Along the way, we encounter these traditional travelers before descending through cedar forests to Beycik. We then transfer to our hotel in Çıralı. Dinner and overnight stay in Çıralı. Note: Guests have the option to ascend Mount Tahtalı (2365m). If we summit, we will take a cable car down to Tekirova and transfer to the hotel instead of hiking down to Beycik.

In the morning, we visit the ruins of Olympos, one of the largest cities in the Lycian Union. Following our visit, we enjoy a relaxing swim break at Çıralı Beach. In the afternoon, we ascend to the Chimera Flames, a site with a mythical story of eternal fire. Dinner and overnight stay in Ulupınar.

We begin our hike from the Olympos ruins, passing through lush forests filled with pine, sandalwood, and oak trees. In autumn, hikers can enjoy fresh wild strawberries from the trees. At midday, we reach the summit of Musa Mountain, where we enjoy a picnic and see remnants of the upper Olympos city. In the afternoon, we descend to Adrasan Beach for a refreshing swim break. Dinner and overnight stay in Adrasan.

On our final day, we take a short transfer to start our hike toward Kızıl Sırt Hill. This isolated path runs parallel to the sea, offering stunning coastal views. After navigating four uphill and downhill sections, we arrive at the historic Gelidonya Lighthouse, built in 1936 and still operated by a local family. We capture breathtaking photos of Taşlık Islands before descending to Pirate Bay. Following our final hike, we transfer to the airport, concluding our adventure.
